It is always great to get your emails! Fenway is still doing agility classes, but we are not competing yet mostly because we still seem to be slowing her down and she can’t keep her nose off the ground. She is something of a sniffer! We always joke that if we didn’t know better we would think she is part beagle! Our other class mates are always amazed that she can be nose to the ground and still clear her jump without any difficulty. We plan on doing more show and goes (they are practice competitions), but we have wanted the weather to break a bit- but last weekend was 100 so we are still waiting for that. A few months back we switched to my fiancé being her primary trainer in agility class. This tactic has seemed to have worked and we are confusing her much less (to be honest I was bringing the team down- I would say tunnel when I meant jump etc…I was a complete mess)
I don’t know if I mentioned in my previous emails but we took Fenway to the beach a few times this year. She is warming up to the swimming, mostly to play chase to her favorite tennis ball, stick or any other item we throw in the water. I think the waves startle her a little bit, but she just loves running around back and fourth from the water to our beach towel and back (for what seems like 100’s of times). It is the most adorable thing-she is sound asleep before we even leave the driveway to head back home.
I always check out your website, so I can’t wait to see your updates. I’ll send more photos soon and I’ll ask the photographer for that photo of Fen for your website (the one of her jumping).
Take care, hope all is well.

We got Fenway from Bill a little over a year and a half ago. At first I was a bit nervous buying from a breeder that I hadn’t met yet, but Bill quickly quashed any reservations we had. His knowledge and love of his pups was obvious from our first call (he got on the floor to play with our little lady) and I instantly knew his dogs were raised in a loving home. He put us in touch with a previous buyer who happened to live in our area of California, and he confirmed the Schaller’s to be great people who had amazing dogs.
Fenway has been an absolute dream. She is smart, alert and agile. We do agility with her and she constantly amazes us by the speed in which she picks up commands. In fact we feel we are holding her back from doing agility at a competitive level, as she seems to be picking it up faster than us. She is playful, loves to be with people and to please. Beyond this, she is an easy going dog and enjoys relaxing around the house. With her bright expression, intense awareness to the world around her, and merry nature Fenway is a great cocker and wonderful companion.
This has been a great experience and we would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Great news about the pups! I’ll keep my ears open if anyone is looking for a great puppy, I’ll send them your way. Maybe next year/summer we will be looking for a pal for Fenway, so please keep us in mind as well.
Fenway has been great and she is definitely one of the family! Her bird hunting instinct is fierce, and she even tracks planes in the sky-and living in Los Angeles there are a lot of planes in the sky. We take her to a nature park where she can ogle over ducks and other water fowl. New agility classes start after the holidays so we are going to sign her up. She loves jumping on stone walls, so a teeter totter will be no match for her!
In September she flew to Vermont/New Hampshire with us. We had to show her off to our families, who fell instantly in love with her. (My mother has never allowed a dog in the house till Miss Fenway arrived.)
She is the belle of the block and everyone loves her. I will be sure to send updated pictures so you can see how she is growing.
Thanks again, we couldn’t be happier!
